Invisalign Clear Braces

Did you know that it's never too late to straighten your teeth? If you think orthodontic treatment is only for children and teens, patients of any age—from teens to seniors—can enjoy a straighter smile with Invisalign clear braces.

If you never had braces or your teeth have relapsed since you did, Dr. Hayder Kafaji offers clear aligner therapy at our Odessa, FL dental office.

Clear aligners like Invisalign have redefined the way we approach orthodontic treatment. Instead of using brackets and wires to move your teeth, Invisalign uses a series of comfortable, clear plastic aligners. Each set of aligners nudges your teeth closer into ideal alignment until treatment is finished and they are in their optimal positions.

Benefits of Invisalign Clear Aligners

Invisalign is a time-tested orthodontic treatment that has been around for decades and has helped millions of people smile confidently again. One reason is clear aligners address many of the same issues as traditional braces but without the inconvenience.

With Invisalign, Your Treatment Is Your Secret

Though many adults want to straighten their teeth, metal braces are too intrusive and not a realistic option. Invisalign discreet crystal-clear aligners are customized to perfectly fit your teeth and blend so well with your smile that most people won't notice them.

Removable Aligners Won't Impact Your Lifestyle

When you choose Invisalign clear braces, you don't have to sacrifice the foods you love or struggle with oral hygiene as you would with metal braces. Instead, you can remove your aligners for meals and brush and floss easily; remember, however, that the longer you wear them each day, the sooner you will complete treatment.

No Sore Mouth or Discomfort with Invisalign

Metal brackets and wires often cause soreness and discomfort and irritate cheeks and lips during treatment. However, with smooth aligners made of BPA-free plastic, you will probably forget you're wearing Invisalign!

How Invisalign Treatment Works

Dr. Hayder performs a comprehensive examination and takes x-rays and mess-free digital impressions of your teeth using our Itero scanner. He then uses specialized software to create your customized Invisalign treatment plan, which shows exactly how the aligners will move your teeth and how the final results will look.

An Invisalign lab fabricates the number of sets of aligners needed, and you will wear each set for 22 hours a day for two to three weeks. We schedule check-in appointments every 4–6 weeks to monitor your progress and give you your next sets of aligners.

Invisalign treatment is completed in about 12–18 months when you have worn all your aligners, and we agree that your teeth are in the ideal positions.

Straight Teeth Are Healthy Teeth

Many adults want orthodontic treatment for aesthetic reasons, but straight teeth also help promote better oral health. If teeth are crowded or overlapping, brushing and flossing can be a challenge, increasing the risk of cavities and gum disease.

When teeth aren't properly aligned, they are often exposed to excess chewing forces. The force placed on teeth day after day can lead to teeth grinding, broken, worn, or fractured teeth, and problems with the jaw joint or TMJ.
