Full & Partial Dentures
Dentures today are a vast improvement over what they were years ago. Modern materials allow us to create dentures so realistic that no one will ever suspect they’re not your teeth!
Modern dentists like Dr. Hayder Kafaji have access to materials, techniques, and technology that didn’t exist decades ago. When you choose full or partial dentures at Mint Dental Care, you can be confident that they will look realistic and enhance your smile and not detract from it.
Types of Dentures We Offer
Each of our patients has unique tooth replacement needs, so we offer three types of dentures: full, partial, and implant-supported.
Full & Partial Removable Dentures
Complete removable dentures replace all upper teeth, lower teeth, or both. Upper dentures consist of prosthetic teeth attached to a gum-colored acrylic plate; lowers are prosthetic teeth attached to an acrylic or metal arch. The ridges of your jaw and natural suction hold full dentures in place.
Partial dentures replace a few missing teeth and close the gaps in your smile. They are similar to complete dentures, but the arch or plate consists of artificial teeth that fit in spaces where teeth are missing. Partials are designed with metal or acrylic clips that hook on to neighboring teeth for support.
Implant dentures may be either full or partial, and the advantage is that they won’t move around in your mouth as removable dentures do. Four or more dental implants are placed in the jaw and then connected to the denture with special attachments.
Benefits of Replacing Teeth with Dentures
Dental implants get a lot of attention, but removable dentures offer several benefits if you want an affordable alternative or don’t want to wait for implants.
- Restore chewing function so you can eat comfortably again
- Support your lips and cheeks to prevent an aged or sunken facial appearance
- Enhance your confidence by creating a beautiful, natural-looking smile
